Quality Control Management

Quality control inside every production phase, to catch defects and deviations where they occur.

Why it matters

In Metalya, production is controlled to a large extent through product quality control, to make sure every product meets the required standards. Continuous, detailed monitoring of the production phases identifies and corrects defects and deviations, so the final product meets both company and customer expectations. AI-based defect detection is available with Metalya Vision.

  • Defects caught at source

Checks inside each production phase find deviations where they occur, not only at the end.

  • Non-conformities under control

Non-conformities are recorded, analysed and resolved within the production process.

  • Traceable product quality

Quality can be traced for each product from the start to the end of production.

Key features

What it does

  • 01

    Real-time monitoring

Continuous control of production processes to identify and resolve anomalies quickly.

  • 02

    Quality data collection and analysis

Acquisition and detailed analysis of quality data from the production phases.

  • 03

    Statistical process control

Statistical techniques (SPC) keep production within the specified quality limits.

  • 04

    Non-conformity management

Identification and effective resolution of non-conformities in the production process.

  • 05

    Product traceability

Each product can be traced from the start to the end of production to safeguard quality.

  • 06

    Alignment with quality standards

Production processes are aligned with international quality standards.

  • 07

    Inspection and testing

Systematic quality checks are planned and carried out at the different stages of production.

  • 08

    Reports and dashboards

Reports and dashboards give a clear, detailed view of the quality of the production process.

  1. 01

    Plan

Quality cycle per product and step: characteristics, limits, sampling.

  2. 02

    Inspect

Quality orders and stages generated for production; results recorded at the station.

  3. 03

    Control

Statistical process control on measured and machine values; rules flag trends and out-of-control points.

  4. 04

    Contain

Defects assigned to lots; holds block them until a final resolution.

What it covers

Quality decided while the part is made.

Control plans, inspections and holds live on the same model as production — so a deviation is caught at the step that causes it, and the lots it affects are known at once.

  • 01

    Control plans

Quality cycles with operations and characteristics for each product and step, linked to the production routing.

  • 02

    Quality orders

Inspections generated from production, receiving or on demand, with their stages and history.

  • 03

    Defects and holds

Defect catalogues, defects assigned to lots, holds and final resolutions — with the trail of who decided what.

  • 04

    Instruments

Measurement instruments with calibration dates, so every result can be traced to a valid instrument.

Now with AI-driven defect detection

Quality control can be extended with Metalya Vision, which applies computer vision to the production line. Cameras observe parts and products, and the AI flags visible defects such as scratches, stains, cracks, missing parts or misalignment. Each detection becomes an event in Metalya, for example an alert or a non-conformity, linked to the product's traceability. Operators confirm or reject the flagged defects, and their feedback is used to retrain the model.
